was born in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, but moved to Joliet, IL with his mother DeAnn shortly after his younger brother, Nate, was born. After an early divorce, the two boys watched helplessly as their mother did her best to put food on the table, clothes on their backs and keep a warm roof other their heads. Over the years Andre' has lived in several states including North Carolina, Illinois, California, New Jersey and ultimately Delaware.
But it was during his time living in Illinois where his musical roots began to dig in starting in the 5th grade where he first picked up a trumpet. From there, his family moved across town where he attended Hufford Junior High School where he met his best friend Curtis. Curtis introduced Andre’ to The Lord and he started attending church at Monument of Faith, where he joined the choir and discovered he could actually sing. Despite the split of his parents, Andre’s admiration of his father Sheldon was undeniable and he wanted to live with him.
After two years of “begging,” DeAnn relented and let Andre' move to West Deptford, NJ to be with his father at the age of 17. Andre' went to West Deptford High School where he met another influential friend, James, who introduced him to writing rap lyrics.
So Andre’ got busy penning pros and waxing poetic on the tried and true hip-hop subjects: guns, drugs, money and girls. Little did Andre’ know that James would also introduce him to his future wife Chamayne. The two joined Bethany Baptist Church in Lindenwold, NJ and gave their lives to Christ on the same day. Soon after surrendering to The Lord, Andre’s desire to write about worldly things faded until he stopped writing music all together.
Then one day, it just dawned on him:
“I can rap for The Lord and spread the word about how good God is,” he remembered telling himself. From there began Andre’s quest to create a message that would resonate from the sanctuary to the streets. After moving to Delaware and joining Seeds of Greatness Bible Church in New Castle, Andre’ made the bold decision to write music for The Lord not worrying about how others felt about his lyrical content. The only thing he cared about was that his lyrics were true and that they aligned with the word of God.
Currently, Andre’ continues to write gospel rap music with goals of inspiring each and everyone that listens. He gives God praise through his music ministry, his life as a true man of God and his exhibition of integrity and a kind heart. During his journey, Andre’ has provided vocals behind various artists including Lonnie Hunter and Earnest Pugh, along with collaborative works with MPR, Future and many other artists.
On Jan. 29, 2014, Andre' released his first single entitled “Give Him Praise” on iTunes, AmazonMP3, and Rhapsody to name a few. He followed his single up with another entitled "Clap" that was released Aug. 15, 2014. He envisioned this song would get the church on their feet with it's high energy and Go-Go feel! Since then, Andre’ continues to share his music along with his energetic stage presence with thousands of people from Delaware to New Jersey and will continue to give God all of the glory, all of the honor, and all of the praise through his music ministry.
Andre's story doesn't end there! In fact, his next highly anticipated EP project entitled "I'm Gone Make It" is due to release on all digital platforms on 2-22-2019!!! With this incredible album in production, Andre's future appears to be brighter than ever before!!!
